Blow-drying hair is something most people do every day, but are you using the correct blow-drying techniques? Using the right method not only allows your hair to dry more easily but also makes it shinier and more voluminous. By learning the following five steps, you can restore your hair’s luster and say goodbye to split ends!
Step 1:
After washing your hair, use a towel to gently press your hair to remove excess moisture. Remember not to rub vigorously, as this can damage the hair cuticles and make your hair dry, making subsequent steps easier.
Step 2:
First, use warm air to blow-dry your hair until it is about 80% dry. Focus on drying the roots at the top of your head, then apply hair oil or hair serum to the ends to repair damaged areas and help your hair absorb nutrients.
Step 3:
Continue blow-drying your hair with warm air, making sure it’s not too cold or too hot. Lift your hair upwards while directing the blow dryer upwards to dry the roots, which will help prevent your hair from looking flat.
Step 4:
Once the roots are completely dry, use your fingers to gently comb through the ends of your hair. Point the blow dryer downwards and slowly dry the remaining sections, being careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging your hair.
Step 5:
Finally, when your hair is almost completely dry, use a comb and the blow dryer to finish drying your hair, starting from the roots and combing upwards. This not only massages your scalp but also makes your hair look more voluminous. However, be cautious to only do this step once your hair is fully dry, as doing it too early can lead to tangles or hair loss.
